The XS range is an offer of inductive proximity sensors for the detection of metal objects up to 60mm without physical contact. The oscillator produces an alternating electromagnetic field that exits the detection area of the sensor. Any metallic object penetrating this field is then detected. This general purpose threaded cylindrical (M30) inductive proximity sensor is made of metal and it is flush mountable. Its nominal sensing distance is 10mm, it supports 1 normally open + 1 normally closed PNP discrete output and it has a switching frequency of 500Hz. It works in a temperature range of -25°C and +70°C, it is dustproof, resistant to water jets (IP65), and waterproof to more than 1m for 1h (IP68). It is made of metal. It measures 40.6mm (length) x 30mm (diameter) and weighs 0.16kg. Four-wire, DC supply, 12V to 24V, NO + NC function, PNP solid-state output . This inductive proximity sensor is particularly suitable for the use on a mobile equipment. This sensor is certified UL, CSA, TÜV, and E2. It complies with the EN/ISO 13849-1 and IEC 62061 standards.
